When data from external sources are ingested into Information Centric Analytics (ICA) through the Integration Wizard (IW), what does the data flow look like?
Version : 6.x
Component : Integration Wizard
When data are ingested into the ICA database (RiskFabric), the data flow is as follows:
Source data are first queried and stored in staging tables in the RiskFabric database on a schedule defined by the user. The data are next inserted into pre-processing tables corresponding to the entity type defined in import rule mappings. This process takes place during the nightly RiskFabric Processing job and potentially during the RiskFabric Intraday Processing job, depending upon the configuration of the integration. Data are normalized and transformation formulas are applied during this process to ensure the data are prepared for insertion into ICA's core tables. Finally, the data are inserted into the destination Logical Data Warehouse (LDW) tables (also referred to as Core tables) where they will remain at rest. Data in the core tables are queried by the RiskFabric cube and by the ICA user interface.
