Issue/Introduction
Windows System Assessment Scan incorrectly detects Windows Server 2012 R2 as Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and the latest version of Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack is required to be installed.
Environment

Cause
STPatchAssessment.xml file caught wrong OS information.
Resolution
Uninstall and reinstall the Altiris Software Update Agent Plug-in to get the correct OS details in STPatchAssessment.xml file under "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\SoftwareManagement\Software Delivery\{6D417916-467C-46A7-A870-6D86D9345B61}\cache" path.
Steps to uninstall and re-install the Altiris Software Update Agent Plug-in:
Open SMP (Symantec Management Platform) Console and go to "Settings > Agents/Plug-ins > All Agents/Plug-ins > Software > Patch Management" path.
Right click on Software Update Plug-in Uninstall policy and click clone.
Rename the cloned one to the desired name.
On the cloned Software Update Plug-in Uninstall policy delete 'All Computers with Software Update Plug-in Installed Target" default filter.
Add the desired target computers which is necessary to uninstall the Altiris Software Update Agent Plug-in and Turn ON the policy and click Save changes.
After the Altiris Software Update Agent Plug-in has been uninstalled on the target client machines, turn ON the Software Update Plug-in Install policy and click Save changes.
Verify whether the necessary clients are installed with the Altiris Software Update Agent Plug-in properly.
