Information Centric Encryption

To allow your On-Premises Key Store access to your Information Centric Encryption (ICE) account, you must provide the following information when you configure each On-Premises Key Store virtual application:

  • KSB Host: Find your KSB Host on the Key Management tab on the Advanced Setting page. You can also view the connection status of your key stores on this page.
  • ICE Service User and Password: Use the External Service tab on the Advanced Setting page to generate an ICE Service User and Service Password. You can also revoke the service or change the Service Password by mousing over the service name and clicking the appropriate icon in the Last Modified column.

To generate a Service User and Service Password:

  1. From the ICE Cloud Console, select Settings in the left navigation bar.
  2. Select Advanced Configuration.
  3. Select the External Service tab on the resulting Advanced Configuration page.
  4. Click the plus icon, and then select Add new service.
  5. Enter a descriptive name for the external service in the External Service Name field.
  6. Click Authorize.

The ICE Cloud Console generates a Service User ID and Service Password that allows the service to access ICE. Make a note of this password and store it in a secure location. Once you navigate away from this page, this password is no longer visible. If you lose this password, you need to authorize a new service to obtain a new one.
