Control Compliance Suite Vulnerability Manager

Issue/Introduction

When running Control Compliance Suite Vulnerability Manager (CCSVM) 12.3 and 12.4.5 update utility - Auto Update (SyncItGUI.exe) it is running for days.

 

Looking at the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\eEye Digital Security\SyncIt\debug_syncit.log file, it is growing to large size and has many entries like below :

Environment

Affecting : Control Compliance Suite Vulnerability Manager 12.3 and 12.4.5 Console.

The CCSVM Network Scanner updates are not affected.

 

Resolution

Symantec is aware of slow performance when applying audit updates to the CCS-VM server.

To resolve this issue please contact Technical Support to request a product update to the RetinaDataHandler.dll and an updated store procedure that will acceletare the update.
