Application Mix displays report in “_Excess Applications” instead of accurate application data.

Issue/Introduction

The purpose of this article is to explain a possible workaround when the Application Mix Statistics section starts displaying “_Excess Applications”.

Cause

The ProxySG only tracks and maintains records/reports of the first 1000 unique applications. Any additional applications it sees are put in the "_Excess Applications" tag.

Resolution

The following command can be used to clear the existing statistics in place for applications.

#clear-statistics persistent svc:application_v2

Cleared PDM statistics cannot be recovered. Proceed? (y or n)y
ok

After running the above command, the proxy will start registering the active application trends.
