Symantec Technical Support has asked for your PolicyCenter S-Series configuration to help troubleshoot a problem.   You can backup your Core Directory Server configuration, zip up the backup directory, download it to your local workstation, and upload it to your support case. 


To backup up your current PolicyCenter S-Series configuration:

  1. Open a browser and login to your PolicyCenter S-Series with touch access.
  2. Click on the "Setup" tab.
  3. Click on the "Core Directory Server" category under the "Setup Category" section of the page. 
  4. Click on the "BackUp" button under the "BACKUP AND RESTORE" section of the page. 
    Note: When the backup completes, the date and time of the backup will be updated in the "Last PolicyCenter backup was done:" section of the page.
  5. Click on the "File Browser" link located at the bottom of the PolicyCenter S-Series Web User Interface (WUI).
  6. Select the pc/backup folder. 
  7. Enter a name for the zip file under the Zip file name: section of the page. 
  8. Go to the Action Click on the selected file(s): section of the page and select the "zip" radio and click the "go" button to create the zip file. 
  9. Download the zip file to your workstation.  
    Note: You can right click on the zip file name and select save target as in IE or Save link as in Firefox and Chrome.
