When configuring a Group Update Provider (GUP) in Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14 RU1 or 14 RU1 MP1, the use of a wildcard for a hostname entry results in an error prompt stating "invalid host name". Previous builds of SEP allowed the use of a wildcard for this purpose.

Invalid host name

SEP 14 RU1, RU1 MP1, and RU1 MP2

This issue is fixed in Symantec Endpoint Protection 14.2. For information on how to obtain the latest build of Symantec Endpoint Protection, see Download the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection.
