Endpoint Detection and Response Advanced Threat Protection Platform

Issue/Introduction

When configuring the Symantec Endpoint Detection and Response SEPM connection information, the appliance allows you to use a limited administrator level account when a system administrator account is required.

Resolution

Previous versions of the ATP software will not get all of the events and information it needs with only an administrator level account. As of ATP 3.1, the ATP/SEDR software will perform a check to verify that the account provided is a system administrator. If the user is not, you will not be able to save the settings until you provide a System Administrator account.
