Symantec Web Security Services (WSS)

The Reach Agent cannot connect to the API server when the Symantec Unified Agent is also installed and active on a client machine. The Reach Agent is stuck in a continuous “Connecting…” status and not go into "Active" status.


The CloudSOC Reach Agent supports interoperability with the WSS (formerly Blue Coat ThreatPulse) Unified Agent. To use this interoperability, you must configure the following domains as “Bypassed Sites” in WSS/ThreatPulse:

For the US cloud:

  • gw.elastica

For the EU cloud:


You configure “Bypassed Sites” in the WSS ThreatPulse portal at Network > Bypassed Sites > Bypassed Domains​.
