How to bypass a ProxySG or Advanced Secure Gateway in a Transparent environment

Issue/Introduction

How/why to bypass the ProxySG in a Transparent deployment due to troubleshooting, testing, outage or to increase the download/upload speed for a specific site or client.

Resolution

• Add the specific IP address of the workstation to be bypassed in the Static Bypass List.

From Management Console > Configuration tab > Services > Proxy Services > Static Bypass List tab >  Client host or subnet > Enter the client IP

 

• Add the IP address of the Destination to be bypassed in the Static Bypass List.

From Management Console > Configuration tab > Services > Proxy Services > Static Bypass List tab > Server host or subnet > Enter the destination IP

 

• To temporarily Bypass the entire network from all ProxySG Services, select the "Force Bypass" option.

From Management Console > Configuration tab > Services > Proxy Services > Force Bypass > Temporarily bypass all proxy services
