Issue/Introduction

Getting an error when attempting to add an additional trusted device credential: "You have reached the maximum number of enabled credentials. Remove a credential and try again."

Resolution

Users are allowed 5 credentials and 20 registered devices. These thresholds can be adjusted in the VIP Manager settings. If a Trusted Device credential is removed from a user, that credential is put into a deleted state and not reused but remains with that user for a period of time and may affect the total allowed. These additional credentials can be removed by an Administrator from within VIP Manager by editing the user's account under the 'Users' tab. Remove any unnecessary credentials from the user account.
