Issue/Introduction

In CCS 12.3 and above, It may be necessary to change the password for the CCSVM Administrator (Administrator by default).

Cause

Forgotten password for Administrator or Administrator User.

Environment

CCSVM Server version 12.3 and above.

Resolution

In CCS 12.3 and above, It may be necessary to change the password for the CCSVM Administrator (Administrator by default). This must be done with in the CCSVM configuration tool on the CCSVM server.

1. Remote into the CCSVM server and run the CCSVM Configuration tool from the start menu, or run the executable (C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec CCS-VM\REMEMConfig.exe).
2. At the top of the tool under Administration / Administrator password, enter the new password | hit tab | enter it again for verification | Click "Apply".  This will take several minutes to save the settings and restart the services.

NOTE: You can also modify the account name here. Once the tool is finished, test logging into the CCSVM web console with the new password.
