Issue/Introduction

  • IPS is disabled and locked by policy administered at the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM).
  • Despite this being an administrative policy, the client shows a Fix button in the client user interface.

Cause

This was by-design prior to 14 RU1-MP1. Symantec development worked on this as part of a product enhancement.

Resolution
