Issue/Introduction

DLP agent machines with smartboardservice.exe sometimes have poor performance when copying files. This usually happens when copying files to USB.

Environment

DLP 16.X
DLP 15.x

Cause

This was caused by the smartboard service sending a large number of files to the smartboard server.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by adding the smartboardservice.exe to the DLP Application Monitor list then uncheck each of the channels for the application.

After adding a new program to the list you will need to update the agent configuration for the agent group.

Once updated DLP agent should no longer monitor the files sent to the smartboard server.
