Issue/Introduction

You want to enable Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for your users in the Client Net portal and would like to know how this interacts with the Schemus Synchronization Tool operation.

Environment

Resolution

Two Factor Authentication is only required to login to the ClientNet portal.

Schemus uses a different authentication method (through an API) and will not require the second factor to be entered.

If you have configured a separate Client Net account for your Schemus installation to use, a  VIP credential ID will not be needed unless there is a specific need to login to the Client Net with these credentials.
