Issue/Introduction

• Proxy not getting time from NTP Server.
• Event log shows "NTP: Receive timeout, retrying NTP Server".

Resolution

If you filter collected PCAP as ntp, you will see followings in non-working condition:


In working condition, you see like:

• Notice here, in non-working condition, you never see server response for NTP query.
• This issue is usually caused by FireWall policy blocking.
• NTP works on port 123 which needs to be allowed in FireWall.
