Patch Management Solution for Windows

Issue/Introduction

Opened the Console > Actions > Software > Patch Remediation Center; highlighted Adobe Bulletin (Ex. APSB17-32), right-click > Download Packages; found the process fails.

Network tool shows the ftp.adobe.com site appears to use load balancing, for there are two IP's being accessed; either 193.104.215.67 or 192.147.130.111. Found the logs display errors every time the traffic is directed to use 193.104.215.67.

Failed to download Adobe Bulletin

Cause

Appears there is a bad URL from vendor's site failing to manage distribution of Adobe Software Updates.

Environment

Patch Management Solution 7.5.x, 7.6.x and 8.x

Resolution

Please contact Adobe Support for further review of download management from the vendor.

Workaround: Found editing the host file on the SMP Server; forcing the download through IP 192.147.130.111 resolved the issue.
