No Interfaces to Show for devices discovered in USM

Issue/Introduction

When discovering devices in USM, using the discovery_agent, the devices don't show any interfaces. When choosing a device from the Inventory and then clicking on the Interface tab it throws the message: "No interfaces to show for 'device_name' ".

Why is this happening and what can be done to fix it?

UIM & UMP 8.5x

Resolution

There could be various reasons but the one I found that it worked for me is changing the SNMP Version from 2 to 1 in the Discovery Wizard:

Version 2 executes the query at bloke level (for a group of devices at the same time) whereas Version 1 does it a device level (device by device).

Additional Information

Other possible solutions:

A.

* Deactivate the discovery_server probe

* Remove the Inventory in USM (Actions > Select All > Actions > Delete Selected)

* Activate the discovery_server probe

* Start the discovery

If the Interfaces still don't appear, recreate the scopes in Discovery Wizard.
