Issue/Introduction

ProxySG with Baseboard Management Controller (BMC)

Messages in the Event Log and receiving alerts like:

"Health Monitor (WARNING): SAS I/O voltage above 1.6366"
"Health Monitor (CRITICAL): SAS I/O voltage below 1.6366"

"Health Monitor (WARNING): SAS I/O voltage above 1.6366"
"Health Monitor (CRITICAL): SAS I/O voltage below 1.6366"

Cause

The Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) controller may be failing which causes voltage fluctuations to be reported.
 

Resolution

This could indicate that a hardware problem with the SAS controller. Please work with support to determine if the SAS controller needs to be RMA'ed. On some units the SAS controller is not a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) and the whole unit must be replaced.
