Issue/Introduction

 VIP Administrators cannot be added to a new or different Admin group through VIP Manager. For example, admin user JOHN DOE is part of the HELPDESK group. Editing his information in VIP Manager does not allow an option to change to a different Admin group.

Resolution

As of VIP EG 9.8.2, VIP admins cannot be added to Administrator Groups from within VIP Manager. Administrators can only be added to a group via an administrator LDAP sync. This is working as designed as a safety measure to prevent modifications to existing admins by other unauthorized admins. 

An enhancement request has been submitted to the product management team for consideration in a future release under ticket 3896009.
