CA IDMS CA IDMS - Database CA IDMS - ADS

Issue/Introduction

I added a new segment to the DB and GRANTED myself ACCESS to this resource.
After applying maintenance and moving renaming all of the relevant files into the production environment,
I get DB002365 C-4M353: ACCESS DENIED TO RESOURCE new-segment
even though my maintenance is not touching that area.

I must re-grant myself access:
GRANT DBAREAD ON AREA SEGF27.* TO DBA_GROUP;
GRANT DBAWRITE ON AREA SEGF27.* TO DBA_GROUP;

Why do I have to re-grant myself access to the new segment after maintenance is applied and moved into the production environment?

Resolution

The System Dictionary includes all information required to establish, maintain, and control the processing environment.

After applying the maintenance the shared load area of the dictionary had been copied/renamed to Production, but not the System DDLDML Area of the Dictionary where the security definitions are held.
