Issue/Introduction

The following messages are displayed in the Content Analysis Server (CAS)'s Malware Analysis Appliance (MAA) configuration :
Warning: Could not get MaaProfiles for server: x.x.x.x reason: Failed to retrieve profiles
Warning: Could not get MaaPlugins for server: x.x.x.x reason: Failed to retrieve plugins

Warning: Could not get MaaProfiles for server: x.x.x.x reason: Failed to retrieve profiles
Warning: Could not get MaaPlugins for server: x.x.x.x reason: Failed to retrieve plugins

Cause

These messages are generated when the CAS is not able to obtain the list of Profiles and Plugins from the MAA.

Resolution

To address this, ensure that the MAA's configurations in CAS are correct. In most cases, the username and password needs to be corrected.

The MAA's username and password in CAS can be configured under Services > Sandboxing > Vendors > Blue Coat Malware Analysis > Servers. Select the affected MAA server and click Edit to update its Username and Password.
