Issue/Introduction

Agents could not register to the task server.  

Attempting to register on Task Server [Server.domain.org] over [https].

Failed to call web interface by url [https://Server.domain.org:443/Altiris/ClientTaskServer/Register.aspx?resourceGuid=1c9128f6-85bb-4e03-82e5-59c14d45ca4b&crc=00080001000013E0], error [0x8004200C, IDispatch error #7692].

Could not register using "https://Server.domain.org:443/Altiris/ClientTaskServer/Register.aspx"

Cause

The c:\Program Files directory and subdirectories on the SMP server had been compressed.

Environment

ITMS 8.0

Resolution

On the SMP server uncompressed the C:\Program Files directory and subdirectories.  Then did an iis reset.
