Issue/Introduction

We just had a production lpar lockup due to a SPIN LOOP. 

With the dumps taken it appears to be waiting for CA PDSMAN. 



After an upgrade of the operating system a spin loop seemed to occur and it was waiting on CA PDSMAN SVCs.

Environment

z/OS 2.2CA PDSMAN 7.7

Resolution

The appearance that CA PDSMAN was the cause is not accurate. IBM discovered the rel problem and it was resolved by the following :
