Issue/Introduction

We just had a production lpar lockup due to a SPIN LOOP. 

With the dumps taken it appears to be waiting for PDSMAN. 



After an upgrade of the operating system a spin loop seemed to occur and it was waiting on PDSMAN SVCs.

Resolution

The appearance that PDSMAN was the cause is not accurate. IBM discovered the rel problem and it was resolved by the following :
