Perform packet capture to filter LACP packets

Issue/Introduction

You want to know to take a packet capture on proxySG , ASG or SWG VA appliance to filter LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol) between the Proxy appliance and the switch or router. This can be helpful to troubleshoot proxySG , ASG , SWG VA link aggregation related issues. 

Resolution

To capture packets or frames containing LACP , capture filter "ether proto 0x8809" can be used

To apply packet capture filter navigate  to Management console --> Maintenance --> Service Information --> Packet Capture 

Also if the packet capture on the device was not filtered , Wireshark display filter "slow" can be used to filter LACP packets . LACP support is implemented within the "Slow Protocols" dissector. This filter  will select LACP as well as other the other "Slow Protocols"

A successful link aggregation setup between Proxy and switch will show packet from both switch and proxy on the same actor port.
