Cannot remove a certificate from SPS ProxyUI

Issue/Introduction

I cannot remove an old certificate which I need to change from the SSLConfig menu in the SPS ProxyUI. When I try to delete it, after clicking the Delete button, it comes back again after the page gets refreshed so I still see the certificate there. I see no errors in the logs.

How can I solve this?

Environment

Secure Proxy Server (Access Gateway) R12.52 SP1

Resolution

To solve this issue you need to stop SPS, and ensure the following folders are empty (and do not contain any temporary cert):

\secure-proxy\Tomcat\temp
\secure-proxy\proxy-engine\tmp

After removing the temporary files, start SPS again and remove the certificate from the SSLConfig menu in the SPS ProxyUI.
