  • A communication update package is created using the Client Deployment Wizard (CDW) in the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) then saved.
  • At a later time, when attempting to deploy the saved package by choosing the option to deploy an existing package and choosing the previously saved package, the deployment fails when sending to the client.

  • This is working as designed.
  • Saved communication update packages are not created in a format that is usable by the CDW.

Using the CDW, create then immediately deploy the communication package to the desired machines.
