After installing Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP), the client reports that Download Insight and Proactive Threat Protection are malfunctioning due to an intrusion prevention component.

This error can occur when the client does not have valid IPS definitions. If the installation package has old or missing content, the client will display this error until new content is downloaded.
Ensure that the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) is downloading and hosting the correct IPS content. You can also download the missing content on the client manually by running LiveUpdate.
