Grub rescue message when encrypting Dell E5470 and E7470 with Encryption Desktop for Linux

Issue/Introduction

Symantec Encryption Desktop (SED) for Linux

Encrypt the Dell E5470 or E7470 running CentOS 7.2 with SED 10.4.1 MP1.
Then reboot.
After logging in at the BootGuard you are presented with a black screen with the following message in the upper left corner:

error: unknown filesystem
entering rescue mode..
grub rescue>

After which the drive is not recoverable.
The same computers can be successfully encrypted if running Windows.
Other Dell computer models running CentOS 7.2 can be encrypted with the same version of SED.
 

Environment

SED for Linux Version Tested: 10.4.1 MP1
SED for Linux Version Affected: 10.4.1 MP1
CentOS 7.2
Dell E5470 and E7470
Hard drives:
Toshiba MQ01ACF0
sk hynix sc308 s

Resolution

The Dell E5470 and E7470 machines are not on the list of supported hardware for RHEL/CentOS 7.x.
