Issue/Introduction

Is Database Analyzer for Db2 for z/OS (PDA) designed to collect LOB objects statistics and if so how is this enabled?

Resolution

With regards to LOB support, PDA only collects data set and volume level (RAVL_STATS_XXX table) stats natively for LOB tablespaces. For auxillary indexes, PDA collects full statistics (RAVL/RAIX).
RUNSTATS is called for LOB tablespaces to update catalog statistics but do not collect or externalize LOB tablespace stats to the PDA statistical tables (RATS/RATB...)
