Issue/Introduction

Previously SNAC was enabled in the environment but with the upgrade to Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 14.1 it is no longer available.

Resolution

The Network Compliance Status Report will load after adding the SNAC.XML file.
 

  1. Drop SNAC.XML file (attached) into this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\etc\license
  2. Restart the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) Service

  3. In the SEPM, click Clients on the Left and the select Policies tab at the top middle.  Click on General and the choose the Security Settings tab.  It now shows the Enforcer Client option.  Click to check the box for Enable Network Access Control.  Then choose OK

  4.  Next click on Reports and then Scheduled Reports and you should now can see the Network Compliance Status Report in the list of scheduled reports.

To disable SNAC setting:

  1. In the SEPM, click Clients on the Left and the select Policies tab at the top middle. 
  2. Click on General and the choose the Security Settings tab.  It now shows the Enforcer Client option. 
  3. Click to uncheck the box for Enable Network Access Control.  Then choose OK
  4. Remove the file SNAC.XML from this folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\etc\license
  5. Restart the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) Service
