Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) upgrade fails during SEPM Configuration Wizard immediately after entering the sem5 password and clicking NEXT.
The install starts and immediately returns to the previous screen with no error message
The sem5 database password is analyzed during the configuration and rejected if it is not a strong password.
Prior to beginning the upgrade verify the sem5 database password is a strong password and adjust if necessary.
Strong password criteria:
