Issue/Introduction

Installing the CA Database Management Solution for DB2 for z/OS release r20.0, what values should be specified for the SSIDMODE in the SETUPxx Parmlib member for a DB2 v12 subsystem?

Environment

Release:
Component: INS

Resolution

The values for these parameters are documented in the online help panels, through the Install Setup panels, Create/edit global PARMLIB members.

On the 'Edit Parmlib Member SETUP' panel for the relevant subsystem, Press HELP (PF1) for valid values:

On the Install 'Edit Parmlib Member SETUP - Help' panel, select '3 DB2 Subsystem Version and Mode':

NF(N) New function not activated
NF(Y) New function activated

In the SETUP Parmlib member these would be coded as

SSIDVER (V12)
SSIDMODE (NFY)

SSIDVER (V12)
SSIDMODE (NFN)
