SSL Visibility Appliance Software

When you try to update the SSL Visibility software, it is possible that you receive the following errors in some isolated instances and the SSL Visibility fails to update.
  • Upload error : must be string or buffer, not instance
  • Upload error : [Errno 28] No space left on device

1. Should this happen, SSH into the CLI Console and execute "debug disk" command. Ensure there is sufficient storage available.

/dev/mapper/sslv-data ext4 31G 9.8G 20G 34% /opt/sslv/data

If there are highly utilized partitions, contact Support to assist in freeing up the disk space.

2. If there is sufficient storage available, the problem is likely due to a shortage of memory. In this case, the software update could be scheduled to a time where load is lower on the appliance. Another option is to reboot the SSL Visibility appliance to free up memory and retry the software update.
