Issue/Introduction

When a Trial License for the Blue Coat Host Categorization database is present above the Perpetual License, it is possible that the expiration date of the Trial License is used instead of the Perpetual License.

Example 1 :
Trial - Blue Coat Host Categorization for SSL Visibilty Appliance 2016-08-22
Blue Coat Host Categorization for SSL Visibility Appliance SV2800, 1 YR 2017-12-27

In the example above, the validity of the Host Categorization database license is 2016 August 22.

In the example below, the validity of the Host Categorization database license is 2017 December 27.

Example 2 :
Blue Coat Host Categorization for SSL Visibility Appliance SV2800, 1 YR 2017-12-27
Trial - Blue Coat Host Categorization for SSL Visibilty Appliance 2016-08-22

Resolution

A Technical Case should be opened with Blue Coat Support to have the Trial License removed. Once this has been done, the updated license should be downloaded again from https://services.bluecoat.com/eservice_enu/licensing/register.cgi and installed into the SSL Visibility appliance.
