The U11D-0230-I REGISTER OF COMCHAR FAILED, CPR RC=0008 REAS=0010 is an informational message indicating that the COMCHAR used for CA 11 is being used by another task.  Issuing the IBM command "D OPDATA" can verify that the same COMCHAR is being used used elsewhere.  To address the U11D-0230-I message select a different COMCHAR  value from the ones identified by the  'D OPDATA" command.
