"Limit to Items I own" does not display any records in search results

Issue/Introduction

Salesforce search allows users to first search then click a checkbox which limits search results to only records owned by the user.  This functionality is supported through the 2.X CDP Gateway. If "Limit to Items I own" checkbox is selected and no records display in search results, follow the steps in resolution section.

Cause


OwnerId contained within the relate the records must be present in the SearchIndex in order for the CDP Gateway.  The ID is used to filter the results returned by the initial search term prior to rendering the results on the SFDC search page. 

Resolution


1. Add the OwnerId to the stored/searchable section in the Management Console.
2. Restart the Gateway Server/s .
3. Edit and save the record you would like to search on and wait the required 5 minutes for Data Sync process to complete .
4. Search for the required record with "Limit to items I own" enabled.
