You are unable to change the link speed and duplex of the network interfaces on the SSL Visibility appliance.
Using hard-coded speed and duplex on the remote end of the link can cause the link to go down.
Currently, the SSL Visibility network interfaces default to link auto-negotiation and are not configurable. Only the Management network interface speed and duplex is configurable.
Refer to the latest Release Notes for changes, new features, and fixed issues.
If you have issues with link stability, ensure the remote end of the SSL Visibility's link is also configured as auto-negotiate.
We have seen instances in which there were issues in which there were negotiation issues or flapping with adjacent 1GB/10GB devices or where the adjacent device has only a 10GB hard coded device where auto-negotiation caused some issues. These conditions were seen utilizing the SV-S550 models.
With out testing we have found that deploying a straight 10GB SFP on the S550 eliminates this negotiation issue.
