SSLV Login button unavailable when certain non-alphanumeric characters used in the SNMP trap community string

SSL Visibility Appliance Software

Certain non-alphanumeric characters used in the SNMP trap community could render the SSL Visibility appliance inaccessible at the GUI (WebUI). When this happens, the Login button is grayed out with a "Failed to read/create SNMP configuration" error message.

This has been addressed in SV 3.8.3 and newer versions.

In earlier versions, a factory reset is required to restore access from the GUI interface. The SSL Visibility appliance should continue to function even though the GUI interface is not accessible.

On SSL Visibility 3.8.2 and earlier versions, use only alphanumeric characters for the SNMP Trap Community string.
