A situation has come up requiring that the Oracle database server be restarted.  Will the SCM Broker detect this change and reconnect automatically?

Resolution

The SCM Broker and HServers will not automatically reconnect after Oracle has been restarted.  You will need to shut down and restart the SCM Broker and HServers after Oracle is up and running again.
