Issue/Introduction

Unable to connect to serial console of SSL Visibility Appliance even though the appliance is up and running.

Cause

The standard serial console setting has a Speed or Baud rate of 9600. This setting does not work on the SSL Visibility Appliance. The correct value is 115200.

In order to connect to the SSLv Appliances with console the following settings need to be utilized:

-  115200 baud rate
-  8 data bits
-  1 stop bit
-  no parity
-  no hardware flow control.

Resolution

Ensure the settings are correct on the console host to connect to the SSLv.
