Collecting Packetshaper Legacy diagnostic files

The purpose of this article is to provide instructions on how to collect diagnostic files in Packetshaper Legacy devices.


  1. You can collect log, diagnostics, and config files by running the following commands from your Packetshaper CLI (Telnet, SSH, or Console). Those files will be added to a zip file TS.ZIP:
cd 9.258/
config save current.ldi
zip -rq current.ldi
zip -rq 9.256/cfg
zip -rq 9.256/log
zip -rq 9.258/diag

  1. Use the File browser option on the Info tab of the Packetshaper Web interface.
  2. Browse to the ‘9.258’ folder.
  3. Right-click on the ‘TS.ZIP’ file and choose 'Save Target As' option in IE (or ‘Save Link as  ...’ in Chrome) to save the file on your desktop.
  4. Upload that zip file to Blue Coat for analysis:
