Issue/Introduction

One of our customer is planning to apply the preventive maintenance IBM PTF/APAR.
They queried us as there are possibilities that some PTFs will affect programs written in C language and COBOL.

We are going to apply IBM APAR PI36683 (PTF: UI36153, UI38933) which has information about Enterprise for COBOL V 5.1 and XML - CODE for preventive maintenance and want to know that :

- Is this product coded in C language or Enterprise for COBOL V 5.1?

- Does this product use XML - CODE?

Environment

z/OS v2.1

Resolution

For the most part they all use assembler followed by C, Metal C and some JAVA. No COBOL.
Also, it doesn't use XML-CODE internally.
