Issue/Introduction

You want to monitor the ProxySG appliance using SNMP by specifying the OID of http.client.request.

Resolution

Obtain the object ID (OID) using a MIB browser.

  1. Download and install a MIB browser.
  2. Go to https://support.symantec.com Network Protection Downloads Section.
  3. Download one of the proxy MIBs, for example BLUECOAT-SG-PROXY-MIB.
  4. Use the MIB browser to load the MIB file.
  5. Locate the OID for http.client.request. In the following example, the OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.3417.2.11.3.1.1.1.
