Issue/Introduction

Enabling debug logging for cbsvapcfgdN/A

Cause

Provide instructions to enable debug logging for cbsvapcfgd

Resolution

Here are the steps to enable debug logging for cbsvapcfgd:

1) Log in to the CPM at the UNIX level, and edit the /etc/syslog.conf

Find the following line within the file:
*.info;mail.none;authpriv.none;cron.none /var/log/messages

Change the line by replacing the word "info" with "debug", so it looks like this:
*.debug;mail.none;authpriv.none;cron.none /var/log/messages

2) Restart the syslog service

service syslog restart

3) Now rsh to the APM(s) and edit the /crossbeam/etc/cbsvapcfgd.cf file

Find the following line within the file:
log events=info warn error fatal

Add the word "debug" to the line, so it looks like this:
log events=debug info warn error fatal

4) Restart the cbsvapcfgd service

service cbsvapcfgd restart

5) All theĀ APM cbsvapcfgd debug messages will now be logged to the CPM's /var/log/messages file.
