To access the NPM
An NPM can only be accessed within the chassis via the primary CPM. Once you are logged into the CPM, you can telnet to the NPM from the Unix shell.
The telnet connection to the NPM is based on the slot number of the NPM. For example, to telnet to an NPM in slot 1, you can use the command: telnet npm1
Use the exit
command to end the telnet session.
CBS# un su
[[email protected] admin]# telnet npm1
Connected to npm1.
Escape character is '^]'.
