Issue/Introduction

How to fix an APM in DOWN stateAfter running "show chassis" you see that there is an APM that is in Down state.

If you try to do a /crossbeam/bin/cbs_reset_slot <slot number>

And doing a "tail -f /var/log/messages" you see a message saying "no applicable record for slot" after the BOOT REQUEST message.

Resolution

N/A

Workaround

One possible recovery procedure is the following:

To clear that condition you need to do the following:

1) On xos CLI do a "config module <slot number> disable".
2) Then "config module <slot number> enable".
3) Go to the unix shell using "unix su".
4) Then "/crossbeam/bin/cbs_reset_slot <slot number>".

After the APM is back in operation should be good to run "show application vap-group <vapgroupname>" to see if the application is up and also verify the health of the application that is running on the blade.
