Cause

Problem: A false positive Link Down alarm is generated for an interface, where it is the master interface of the redundant-interface configuration. The alarm is triggered when the traffic is passing through the backup interface and then a configuration change is made for the master interface.

Resolution

The fix for this issue has been implemented in XOS 9.6.3 and above, and it is also targeted to be included in XOS 9.5.7

Workaround

There are 2 workarounds to clear the alarm:
1. Bounce the interface (no enable /enable) for which the false positive alarm has been generated.
2. Re-configure the redundancy-interface for the interface in question.
