NPM tcpdump file available from CPMCustomer following XOS Configuration Guide to enable packet mirroring on the NPM interfaces and capture traffic from eth2 on NPM, cannot access the captured file from CPM to analyze it on external device.
CBS# un su # telnet npm1 / # tcpdump -i eth2 -w out.cap / # exit #
out.cap file was saved on NPM root directory and cannot be accessible from CPM.

This articles shows how to access captured files on NPM.
To be able to access file from CPM, save captured file under /crossbeam/logs on NPM and go to /tftpboot/npm6_N/logs/ on CPM, where N is NPM slot number.
CBS# un su # telnet npm1 / # cd /crossbeam/logs / # tcpdump -i eth2 -w out.cap / # exit # cd /tftpboot/npm6_1/logs/ # ls out.cap
Now, customer can access CPM and transfer file to an external location.
