Issue/Introduction

We are cleaning up our SCHED00 member in SYS1.PARMLIB and there are entries in PPT for the following OPS/MVS programs:
PPT PGMNAME(OPINMA)          /* PROGRAM NAME FOR STC OPSMVS
   NOPASS                                     /* BYPASS PASSWORD PROTECTION
PPT PGMNAME(OI)                    /* PROGRAM NAME FOR STC OPSOSF
   NOPASS                                     /* BYPASS PASSWORD PROTECTION
PPT PGMNAME(OPSWTO)        /* PROGRAM NAME FOR STC OPSOSF
   NOPASS                                     /* BYPASS PASSWORD PROTECTION
PPT PGMNAME(EXEC)               /* PROGRAM NAME FOR STC OPSOSF
   NOPASS                                     /* BYPASS PASSWORD PROTECTION

Can you confirm if these are still needed? We searched your CA OPS/MVS® Event Management and Automation - 12.3(https://docops.ca.com/ca-opsmvs-123-EN) for information regarding the IBM Program Properties Table(PPT) and did not get any hits. Before removing them, I would like to confirm they are no longer needed.

Environment

CA OPS/MVSIBM z/OS

Resolution

We do not recommend the placement of those programs in the Program Properties Table (PPT). However, there may be a reason for them being there. We recommend finding the reason, at your site, for them being place there to determine if they need to be removed.
